Okay, so I was looking over the news today, and as it turns out, my perspective wasn't really being represented so... well...
1.) If you're going to write an article about how a President of a Country isn't corrupt, you might not want to use the picture of him waving in front of a portrait of his (murdered) wife who remains a symbol of corruption to half the population of the country he's leading.

2.) Iranian Scientists have created a time machine. Not only is it fully functional and can see up to 8 years into the future, the only reason their model is under wraps right now is, according to the Telegraph article, "The reason that we are not launching our prototype at this stage is that the
Chinese will steal the idea and produce it in millions overnight."
I'm not suggesting any dishonesty. I will, however, be fascinated to see how this is not, in some way, *less* important than perfecting medical care for your citizens, or water purification and sewage systems for your citizens, or even, really, any sort of basic care for your citizens. I know it's Socialist of me, but I still hold on to that Republican Idea that a government is responsible to as well as for its people. You heard me.

3.) John Kerry used the words "huge mistake." Am I the only one concerned that President-And-Dictator-For-Life Kim is really not the most emotionally stable philly in the compound? Perhaps not telling him that he really is a very pretty President-And-Dictator-For-Life is what this is all about?
My proof? The man had an American Citizen as a guest. The citizen then trumpeted a call for The President of the United States to create and increase diplomatic association with North Korea. As far as the State Department's briefings go, the USA has yet to act accordingly. A WEEK LATER comes the nuclear weapon talk and the missile situation.
When I throw a hissy fit, I have exceptionally limited international capabilities when it comes to ruining your day. I'm working on it, but right now there are only some countries that would hate you on my behalf.
Do I believe President-And-Dictator-For-Life Kim has a nuclear-capable sub under his father's dusty collection of Hawaiian-style shirts? No.
Does that mean he's harmless? No.
Do I believe an emotional outburst, from a man raised to believe that supreme power is a birthright for which no one would punish him in flexing, could result in death of a magnitude unfathomable right now? Yes. If North Korea goes to war, North Korean governmental policies and actions will kill North Korean civilians. There are built-in casualties here.

4.) Jonathan Winters has died. This saddens me a great deal - he was a hilarious man as well as a kind, warm person. He will be sincerely, and deeply missed. (What citation would you prefer? The Christian Science Monitor? Shut up. It was on your radio station on the way home, and you're not even supposed to have commercials on it.)
I really needed to write that out. I feel better, thanks.
